Nu Trend Productions is pleased to produce films that shed light on circumstances relevant to the goings on of humanity. Prevalent in today's society is the dominating rage of abuse. Regardless of economic or educational background, race, or religion, various aspects of abuse affect the lives of citizens daily.
Our inaugural film, Silent No More, is geared to make the public aware of the devastation abuse brings to women and men. Based on true stories, the movie seeks to expose and heal the secrecy and silence surrounding the emotional and physical pain of abuse. |
Beloved,
Psalm 34:6-9 says, “This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.” The Lord has spoken a rhema word in my spirit concerning abuse – sexual abuse, physical abuse, mental abuse, and emotional abuse. He is making it clear that nothing is hidden.
The Lord will deliver you from whatever you’re going through. He has put a word in my mouth that is bringing transformation and freedom for His people concerning different areas of abuse – “Silent no more!” The Church doesn’t want to talk about these things, but we’re going to talk about them. The devil wants to keep you silent and running from your problems. God is now giving you a platform to open up your mouth and be silent no more. The enemy will try to silence you because of shame. He doesn’t want you to tell anyone. He tries to silence you, causing you to become frustrated with yourself, reality, and everything around you. But we know that even when a tea kettle is put under pressure it will scream. It’s time for you to step out of the silence. Sin shall no more have dominion over you.
In II Samuel 4:4 we read, “And Jonathan, Saul's son, had a son that was lame of his feet. He was five years old when the tidings came of Saul and Jonathan out of Jezreel, and his nurse took him up, and fled: and it came to pass, as she made haste to flee, that he fell, and became lame.” Like Jonathan’s son, some of you have been dropped. Many of you were molested; some are victims of incest or rape. But it was not your fault. You were dropped. And since you’ve been dropped, it’s been difficult for you to get up. It’s been difficult to function. When you’re in this position, the enemy wants to keep you silent.
Romans 10:9 tells us, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” So we know that a mouth confession helps to seal our salvation. If you are carrying the weight of being abused and you’re tired of the guilt, tired of being victimized, tired of feeling like a nobody, it’s your time to be Silent No More!

"When my mother was 16 years old, she was raped by a family member and I was conceived. I can’t help but wonder what she thinks about when she looks at me. I believe I will always be a reminder of what happened to her. I will never be able to call my real father “daddy.” I am so glad that you are taking the time to address the matter of abuse because I have questions and concerns on how to deal with it in my life. The first Sunday you preached “Silent No More” I asked my mother if she would be willing to talk to someone about the rape. Initially she said no, but I told her that she should no longer keep silent about how she feels and what she’s been holding in and that her life can change. She reluctantly agreed. I believe this is the beginning of change and transformation for me and my mom." ~ Anonymous
"I was sexually abused as a child, primarily by my stepfather, but also by several others. This was a secret that I kept from my mother for well over 30 years. When Pastor Marvin began preaching “Silent No More,” I really didn’t think the message was for me because God had healed me from the abuse years ago. It wasn’t until I realized the deliverance I needed wasn’t from what the molesters did, but from the unforgiveness in my heart toward my mother for not protecting me as a child. I was advised that this painful chapter in my life had to be closed before God could take me to the next level. Closing the chapter entailed my sharing deep, dark secrets with my mother. So I did, and it was absolutely the most difficult thing I’ve ever had to do. But today I am free! Sharing those things with my mom and being able to forgive her caused a weight to be lifted off of me that I had unknowingly been carrying around for over 30 years! And if it had not been for the message “Silent No More,” I probably would have never shared those things with my mother. But doing so has set me free to move on to the next level in God." ~ Anonymous
